Just a few pics of our Willys. Found it in the newspaper when I was a Company Commander at Fort Gordan, GA back in the 80’s. It’s been in the family ever since. Desert Shield was going on at the time and desert tan was the hot color in the motor pool. Little did I know it would still be a popular color some 30 years later. Besides paying homage to those I served with, the Scorpion logo belongs to the Long Recon Desert Group. A New Zealand unit that scouted for Rommel in North Africa in WWII. Paying tribute to those vets past and present.
Windshield is a clearence issue but if I set it back a little more I thing it would of cleared. Just did not care for the off center look on the step.. Guns of liberty were great, very pleased with the mount and gun. In fact the tan gun shown on he site is my jeep. Only thing I had a problem with was the barrel would loosen. Used some red loctite on it and its solved the problem. Also added a brace from the bottom of the rear mount to the cross member.
Sory but the roll bar came in the trailer but was never installed. It’s great for the safety factor but is even better for a brace while doing parades like the commander would do in a pass in review.
Not sure if my first reply went through.Just curious if there were any issues with mounting the 30 cal.? Does the windshield move freely/any rubbing? I’ve ordered one from Guns of Liberty should be here in July.
Greg the jeep is great. I have a 45 with M38 tub but with the recessed headlights and square windshield who knows. The color is great but where did the roll bar come from… I have a 6 year old grand daughter and I am not any younger either and the bar looks like a super idea and looks great. Can you help? Jack

Actualy a set Set of Denman’s 7×16 Military OZ – NDTs. Believe it or not, it’s actually sprayed with Rustoleum “sand” semi gloss.
Thanks for looking!
Greg, your jeep looks great. I had mine that color one time and after seeing yours, I think I will change it back to it. Question; Are those 15″ tires NDT or NDCC? Appreciate your reply. R. Wilson rlw91348@yahoo.com
