Originally Imperial Gray painted to a tan color in 1975. Original L head with 46K miles on it. “White Mfg.” Vinyl top for the winter months. No modifications with the exception of an after market roll bar and the spare was moved to the tailgate on a home-made bracket. I fell in love with this old Willys in the late 70’s when a classmate of mine drove it to school daily. The jeep traded hands in 1985 to a family neighbor who kept it in his woodshed and used it primarily for hunting. Every time I returned home I would visit Mr. Johnson and remind him that if he ever decided to sell, I wanted to be first in line. In 2003 , in a phone call out of the blue, Mr. Johnson let me know it was time to come and get “my” jeep. I scrambled to find a trailer, took a sick day, and raced over the mountain to get it. It now sits proudly at my home in Fort Collins, where we drive it regularly around town and take frequent Sunday drives to the mountains nearby.
