Build Your Willys: Fuel Parts Removal
First, drain any gas left in the fuel system and remove the fuel hose from the fuel pump. Next, remove the inline fuel filter and pump to carburetor tube. Then remove the bolts connecting the fuel pump to the engine block, using the appropriate wrench or socket. Once you have done this, lift the fuel pump away from the engine block. Next, Loosen and remove the bolts connecting the carburetor to the intake manifold. Finally, remove the carburetor and any remaining linkage.
