This is my 1952 Willys M38A1. My jeep has been restored in honor of the men I served with and in memory of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country in Vietnam. The decals on my jeep is of the unit I served with. The letters and number on the hood is my service number.

Beautiful restoration. What a nice way to honor those who served. Thank you for sharing and for your service to our country!
She’s sure a beaut! I’m working on a 1952 M38A1 myself. I have a 1942 Ford Gpw that’s also in the process of restoration. I’m doing the M38A1 for the simple fact that after a long cold winter the WWII jeep seems to bend in
the middle to where I cannot fit behind the wheel! LOL! The M38A1 has quite a bit more room for a bigger person to fit more comfortably! Hope mine turns out as wonderful as yours! Nice Job! “Keep your Powder Dry”!
Welcome Home, Brother…Nice restoration!
Served in-country from September 1966 to December 1968 in some of the same territory that the “Tropic Lightning” Division did. The military intelligence unit that I served with supplied aerial intelligence to the 25th Division on many occasions. I sincerely hope that our efforts made your job easier and safer.
By your service number I can tell you were drafted. Thank you for your service and the beautiful restoration work done on your Jeep that reminds us all of the sacrifices made. All gave some…some gave all.

Great looking Jeep, I have a 1953 M-38A-1 also.
Hello, brother. I marked my M38A1 with 2/508th, 82d Airborne Division. I had two assignments in the 82d as a platoon leader in 1969 and later as in S-3. I commanded a mobile advisory team in Vietnam. You did a beautiful job with your jeep. Mine is not quite as shiny, but it has been completely rebuilt and runs better than any of the M151’s I was issued. Last year, the mobile Vietnam wall came to Louisville, KY. You could print out the names and KIA dates of soldiers you had served with or otherwise known. In my own little private ceremony, I was able to commune with some old friends who never got to raise families or grow old. It made me feel better. Thanks for posting and good luck.
