This is a ’48-50-62 Jeepster. 1948 Willys Jeepster body over a 1950 Willys Station Wagon frame, transmission, axles and a 1962 Buick 198 engine. I keep it functional, not a show car, and drive it all over California and Nevada. Have been to the geographical middle of Nevada, all over the California coast, and up over 9000 ft in the Sierra Nevada mountain range.

Enjoy it, don’t destroy it. Seems to be a common thread among us.Beautiful car doing what it was meant for…. I had a Jeepster 30 years ago now I got a 1961 wagon. Building it to go not show.
The 198 V-6 is an excellent choice for those vehicles.; I had one in my CJ-2A. It fit well and started & performed well summer 7 winter. For rebuilding you had to have the camshaft reground, as there did not seem to be a source for new ones.

That is a beautiful Willys! I really like the color, and I am sure it draws a crowd and lots of comments wherever you stop in your travels.
Great looking ride! I totally agree with you, we need to drive these things. They each have a personality, unlike new vehicles that almost all, (with the exception of hi-performance or exotic vehicles) drive pretty much the same, boring. I ‘RAISE MY GLASS’ to you, my friend! Motor On!
