This is my 1947 Willys CJ-2A and her name is Scarlett. I found her in a barn in 1999, offered the owner $400.00 on the spot and he took it. She did not run but I guess it was love at first sight. It took me about 8 years to finish a complete frame off restoration. Kaiser Willys Auto Supply made the restoration a whole lot easier with all the parts available. Everything is original with the exception of the body tub, front fenders, and a 12 volt conversion. I had the engine rebuilt, however I rebuilt the transmission, transfer case, and carburetor myself. The best part of the restoration was the fact that my three young sons helped me with it. The original color was Normandy Blue, which I was going to go with until I saw this red on a small fire-truck and thought it would look good (hence the name Scarlett). I have taken her to several car shows and won some trophies. It is a kick to drive and the best part is the looks I get from other drivers and the nods of approval from other Jeepers.

Absolutely beautiful, I guess it was love at first sight. Great job! One day I will find mine.
looks like it came off the showroom floor. you’re not the only one having parts stolen.
Very nice job, have a one owner that is ready for a restoration, and right now it primer color, what color is that, the original willys red? That’s the color that I have on the fire wall in the engine compartment. Hardly any rust on mine, but a renters son stole the seats, ID tags, air cleaner and cross over tube and horn, + the tailgate, some bottom feeders are just that way.
Didn’t know how the original red would look on it.
