This 1973 CJ-6 V8 spent the first years of its life as a fire Jeep in Patoka, IL. It had the PTO pump still attached when I bought it. Original miles are currently approximately 14,000. It now enjoys exploring the Rocking Mountains of Colorado. It is all original except a small lift, Renegade wheels, power steering and front disc brakes.
The mileage is true. That speedo shot was in 2014 and it now has 14k. Mileage is verified by the person I bought it from and then the person who bought it from the Patoka, IL Volunteer Fire Dep. I have talked personally to the original buyer from the VFD. There was a pump mounted in the back at one time. I have the PTO pump that was on the back of the PTO when I bought it. The person I bought it from rarely drove it but kept it nice.
Only mods are a 3″ lift (previous owner), front disc breaks and power steering (added by Bullhide 4×4 in Fort Collins, CO). It runs straight and true at 70 MPH.

Colorado has great Jeeping experiences. RedCone mountain Black Bear Road to say the least. sin e you chose disc brakes for the front be sure to keep them clean as from the factory there were shrouds to keep dirt out. Without them the rotors will be grooved in a hurry.
